City of London School for Girls: 11+
my daughter sat the test today; said Maths was tough. Wondering what feedback you have had from your girls.
Fingers crossed, will know whether she is invited for interview on 12th.

DD sat her interview on Monday...quite friendly and relaxed. Tell your girls not to be too worried
Re: City of London School for Girls: 11+
Does anyone know what the callback ratio was for City Boys? My son has interview this week and was wondering what proportion of interviews to offers.

Glad your daughter had a good experience Teanosugar.Teanosugar wrote:DD sat her interview on Monday...quite friendly and relaxed. Tell your girls not to be too worried
My daughter was also on the Monday but unfortunately not the same for her.
One question was "tell me something I should know about you and give a reason why I would find it impressive". My daughter mentioned that competed in a physical contact sport and that despite being very small, she could throw girls far bigger than her. She mentioned that she was competing in the Girls Schools competition at the weekend and had achieved lots of belts. She was then asked again "why should I find that impressive?"
Another question was "tell me about an achievement that you are very proud of" to which the answer was that she had achieved grade 4 merit recently for a musical instrument. The reply was simply "how many instruments do you play?" No further discussion.
My daughter was really put off by the teacher who she felt was pretty unfriendly. It's been a completely difference experience to the other interviews that she's attended where the staff went out of their way to make her (and us) feel welcome and relaxed.
We'll see but suspect she will not be receiving an offer.

She should have got up and thrown the interviewer, dusted her hands off and said 'that's why'.
