Any experts in Accelerometers?
Could really do with some advice on their capabilities and use
Re: Any experts in Accelerometers?
Used some many years ago (and two companies ago), but I think the tech has moved on a lot since then. The devices themselves were quite straight forward.
My issue was finding a datalogger capable of capturing and storing the data at the rates I required. Things will have changed in 17+ years

Thanks Timkers, Trying to help daughter with a project.

I was trying to monitor the g forces in a vehicle in all three directions but needed to be able to log data every 100msec.
Apparently my GoPro can log GPS data and g forces too, if that helps.

That's interesting to know... I'll have a look,
Sounds like DD is wanting to do similar to yourself, she needs to measure x,y,z forces of a sudden impact on a plastic board, and likely with four different accels in order to give an impact point and trajectory, shear currently experimenting with a single accel, working at 1000Hz, interfaced with a RPi3.
