Been offered Sutton Grammar which was our first choice on the list. Now to decide between that and private school.

My son has a place at Sutton Grammar, his first choice. He passed all 3 tests for the Sutton schools - Sutton GS, Wilson’s and Wallington GS. We did DIY tutoring from May, 5 months before the test, nothing intensive, and did mocks May and June in which his scores were below average of those that took the same tests. I hope this helps encourage some who assume that you need to spend a fortune on tutoring to succeed!

Terrific news for you and the other boys offered places at SGS. It's a great school.

I don't know if or when you find out how many are on a waiting list, but from the Sutton LA info (https://drive.google.com/file/d/11RP224 ... NGlPH/view" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) it looks as though Sutton Grammar and Wilson's over-offered from their standard admissions number of 135 for Sutton and 186 for Wilson's. Both may not go to the waiting list unless they have 15 declines (SG) or 23 declines (Wilson's).

However I have to add I'm new to this forum so perhaps someone else can confirm if this is usually the case.
