Joining waiting list for school not in CAF
We received an email from Chis & Sid concerning a place on the waiting list - it was our second choice for DD on her CAF- however I noticed the info below also in the email:
“
“
Does anyone know how this works? Would ‘new’ selective students added to the waiting list now be given same priority as those who had school listed on their CAF? If so, this seems really unfair! I’ve tried contacting Chis&Sid about this but they say that we need to speak to Bexley and Bexley is always busy! I was hoping someone here might be able to clarify? If you did not list our school as a preference and your child has been deemed selective but you wish him/her to go on our Waiting List, please contact your home Borough and London Borough of Bexley to request this.“

That usually is the case, it is possible to make a late application and be added to the waiting list for schools not on your CAF

Waiting lists must be maintained in the same oversubscription criteria order as the initial ranking of applicants, and at least until the end of the autumn term of the year of entry (into year 7) .hermanmunster wrote:That usually is the case, it is possible to make a late application and be added to the waiting list for schools not on your CAF
