Waiting lists

Post by Caveman47 »

Birmingham City Council won't release their waiting list until the 26th March (this is proving to be very frustrating).

My question is this...

Does every council have the same waiting time?

Eg Sandwell, Walsall and Wolves.

Good luck with the phone call. Would be interesting to know what the W/L looks like. Hope DH likes HGS when he visits today with your DS.

Good luck with everything.Onwards and upwards.

It would be good to know if QMGS only initially offered at PAN this year.

It would also be useful for other parents to know what sort of movement is expected by the admissions officer this year on the non pp waiting list based on their experience.
In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.

Good luck everyone.

It will be interesting to see what happens with pp. Last year, I know that somebody on 322 (5 marks under the cut off of 327) was 25th on the waiting list in July but did not get offered a place unfortunately. But from what I'm reading on here this year, the lists may move more like the Birmingham ones - keeping my fingers crossed for you all :D

Sadly no info on the QMGS waiting list. The school have asked Walsall admissions to not give out the information for another few days. The lady said it will probably be available by Monday.
In other news, DH loved HGS. Really loved it. He then got a frosty response from DS’ primary headteacher as to why DS had been out of school. The head hadn’t realised that DS got a place at HGS, he’s on the school allocation list as going to the local comp. It’s a non-issue, but may be an error that results in a place for a child if 2 places have been allocated at the same time.

It seems QMGS is giving out waiting list figures today - the one we have has been updated here https://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum ... 11&t=53672" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
