Re: Allocation Day statistics for 2018
Is it just me...or do the grammar allocations not make sense...Ribston allocating 250 when the PAN is 120 Marling and Stroud High dont look right either...Or have I missed something?

I thought that! There may be an amended version soon!
Edited to add - they have repeated a column from the schools above. I'm assuming that they have allocated to PAN with one exception.

Are the figures for Ribston Hall, Marling and SHS an example of academy freedom run riot? Where are they going to put them all?

Re: Allocation Day statistics for 2018
Cross post with my edit - I think they have repeated the figures from the academy schools above them on that page for just that one column.

That makes sense...good spotProf Pat Pending wrote:Cross post with my edit - I think they have repeated the figures from the academy schools above them on that page for just that one column.
Re: Allocation Day statistics for 2018
Looking at those figures (excluding the Grammar schools which is obviously incorrect) there are over 700 places unallocated when comparing PAN to numbers admitted. Is this a "really" low birth year or do schools have really high PANs for a reason (as it appears to be most years schools have higher PANs than allocated pupils)?
EDIT - just found statistics from GCC website, guess it is a low-birth year:-
Census taken October 2017
Year Number of pupils on roll in Glos.
R 6816
1 7009
2 6957
3 6955
4 6712
5 6842
6 6482
7 6779
8 6555
9 6499
10 6536
11 6078

Re: Allocation Day statistics for 2018
My DS is in Y6, it’s always been low on numbers which I assumed was down to it being a low birth year. The subsequent yrs are all full at our primary. Current y1 is a huge year then!!cazien wrote:Looking at those figures (excluding the Grammar schools which is obviously incorrect) there are over 700 places unallocated when comparing PAN to numbers admitted. The amended statistics are now up.
Next year's intake is a high birth rate year, I'm told - this year is relatively low.
