Post by JaneEyre »

With the long-awaited arrival spring this year (I am really looking forward the nice weather coming on Monday!), why not having a go at cycling and discovering all the brilliant free activities which exist not too far from your home in this sport? :D

I used to do Breeze rides - run by British Cycling local leaders to get women back into cycling. They were fab as would never leave anyone behind, and usually ended in a tea room with cake!!

Summer Cycling Event!

B10 Community Cycling Club's invites you to join them this Sunday (1st July) between 10am and 2pm in Small Heath Park.

You will be able to take part in learn to ride sessions, led rides around the park and Dr Bike sessions. Why not bring your bikes and a picnic?

You can also pop along to have a chat and find out more about Community Cycling Clubs.

Ah ah ah! :lol: You are teasing me with some medical abbreviations!!! Does AKP stands for 'Anterior Knee Pain'? Does OA stands for 'Osteoarthritis'?

Dear forumites with no AKP nor OA, here are some health advantages of cycling:

From the NHS website:
https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/c ... -benefits/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For forumites with OA, here is an article of interest:

For forumites with AKP, please ask advice from doctor Hermanmunster!!! :wink:
