Ditto, a lot found the English easy & Maths hard. My daughter had 10 questions left with 5 minutes to go... :-0
Re: Wallington Girls and Non such Girls SET Today 18th
Same for mine.
She couldn’t finish the math paper
Hoping she made some lucky guesses since it was multiple choice.
Need to work on time management if she makes it through to the next round!

My DD also found the Maths more challenging and was pushed for time. She completed it but unsure for some questions. She said English was good...

Do the boys and girls have the same Stage 1 exam?

Yes all six schools (the five grammars and one partially selective school) use the same first round test.ojmum wrote:Do the boys and girls have the same Stage 1 exam?
The partially selective school and Wallington Boys don't have a second stage test. The two girls schools share a second stage test and the two remaining boys schools share a (different) second stage test.

Hi all, I’m new to the forum. I’m been getting some useful information off the site recently so thanks for all the help.
Yesterday’s exam - according to my daughter the maths was quite tricky, even though we told her to guess the last few questions when there’s a couple of questions left she didn’t. [Please avoid giving out information about number of questions - thanks. Moderator]
The English she described as “ Easy “ which was good to hear after she just told me she didn’t answer 7 questions in maths. But from reports from friends most found English easier than expected so I guess it’s all relative !
How does the scoring system work ( for stage 1 ) I know it’s done on an age basis.
........
And finally, do stage 1 results count towards stage 2 totals ?
Thanks for any answers in advance

My DD also said the maths was more challenging.
Does anyone have any idea on how many girls sat the sutton set test and how many get through to the second stage?
