Just a reminder not to reveal any information about the test that could help late sitters, including highs like question types, timings, number of questions etc. Thank you
Re: Tiffin Girls Stage 1 exam today
Hi all, my daughter was expecting a different format for the maths test! Not sure if any other parents think that the information on the website is misleading!

Hi everyone
Whilst not giving away any content it would be good to feedback how it went and support each other.
My DD found yesterdays exams good, she said it felt more straightforward compared to the Sutton SET. We were in the morning slot and was astounded at the number of people and the length of the queues!!! Still can't complain - at least it was not raining!
Now the long wait..
How was it for you/DD's?

Hi! My DD said that maths was hard and English was ok. She thought that they were both harder than the Sutton SET. The queues were something else weren't they? Though reasonably well organised considering the volume of girls. Good luck to your DD!

Yes the queues were a real shock - but I agree it was well organised and their system did work.sweetnhappy1 wrote:Hi! My DD said that maths was hard and English was ok. The queues were quite incredible!
Daughter said she enjoyed the English and finished in time but ran out of time and had to guess quite a lot of the maths.
Good luck to all!

The crowd was overwhelming .The number of applications last year was 1427 ( 510 called for stage 2).I guess this year number of applications for stage 1 may be around 3000(approx) as there is no encatchment restrictions for stage 1. So how do they detrmine how many to shortlist for stage 2?

Re: Tiffin Girls Stage 1 exam today
Just curious, where did the 3000 number come from? Why would this year be different from previous years?
Re: Tiffin Girls Stage 1 exam today
I have seen that level of Crowd in henrietta Barnet.Parents happy to apply Top schools as encatchment rules doesnt apply for stage 1.
