Voluntary Contributions - Watford Consortium

Post by Chambod »

I've heard that the Girls Grammar ask for a monthly voluntary contribution. Does anyone know if Parmiters do the same and if so, how much they recommend?

I have a son in year 10 and I have never been asked for a monthly contribution. At the new parents evening in July were were told about the lottery, which I believe is used to fund the mini buses. You could join on the night, take a form away with you or choose not to participate. No real pressure was applied and I know people who joined and people who did not. So many other schools ask for a contribution I think that it will probably happen before DS2 leaves but I would hope that that it is done in the same way.

My daughter is starting Queens in September, we have been asked to contribute either an annual payment of £60 per year or £5 per month

We have two children at Parmiter's and we belong to the lottery scheme, but we also pay a voluntary contribution of £10. This is £10 per family not per child.

I should add that the £10 we pay, is monthly
