Twins score birmingham

Post by Star1979 »

Hi wondering if I could get some advice. Twin daughters one scored 229 and the other scored 225. Both want to go King Edwards Handsworth Girls.

I'm not sure the 225 score will be good enough despite previous years cut off point being slightly lower. I'm worried they may get separated and therefore should I make a safer choice for Sutton Girls. Any suggestions?

Where do you live? If Handsworth is your first choice, then put it as number 1. Does it matter if they are separated? Chances are they wouldn’t be in the same form anyway. A friend with twins has 1 at Handsworth and 1 at their local comp and they are both happy. As they progress through life they won’t do everything together - they are likely to choose different universities, cities to live in etc. However, they both have a very good chance of being offered Handsworth.

I would agree with this or as an alternative both could go to SCGSG.Both are equally good schools.I can see the benefits of both in the same school.I would put KE Handsworth for both first and SGGSG second and be prepared to wait for a place from the waiting list if necessary for the one twin.

My youngest dd has identical twins in her form. She can tell them apart now.

In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.

What's 220 got to do with the original post?

Her one twin scored 225 so she was asking if that would be enough.

To be helpful, I quoted info from the forum stating 220 had been offered.

That info can then be used to help her in her decision.

Does that answer your question?

Pointing out that the OP's scores in previous years would have been offered places
