Proof of address for child
Hi
Just wondering what counts as acceptable proof of address?.I know we’ll get notified nearer the time that we need to provide it if we’ve listed a grammar school on our CAF but just trying to get an idea as I don’t think I’ve got any official documents with his name and address on at the moment. I’ve tried looking on the WCC website but couldn’t find it.
Thanks.

i was wondering the same. My Ds has a bank account so i’m hoping a statement will be ok. To be honest I wish we could just submit everything now. It feels like another thing hanging over my head to remember!

Can you get a Child Benefit letter?

Re: Proof of address for child
Last year they asked for a Child Trust Fund or ISA letter. Alternatively a letter from the Optician or other medical establishment was acceptable as long as it was dated within 6 months. Also need your Council Tax demand letter.
Re: Proof of address for child
Any medical appointment letter sent to your home address (if a recent one) and it's a perfect opportunity to open a bank account for your child if they don't already have one. Everyone should have a Council Tax bill too. It's a vital part of the application process so good to plan well ahead of the deadline (especially as that comes around Christmas). I know people who have been classed as late and missed the first round of offers as they failed to provide proof of address on time. Make sure you receive proof of receipt by email if sending electronically and ring WCC for confirmation of receipt if posting.

Re: Proof of address for child
I had to drop into our council offices one morning this week to get a replacement council tax demand letter as we couldn't find one! They did it there and then so we're now all set for the application process. Its worth checking now if you're not sure as the deadline is under 2 weeks away!

Yes, I did mine yesterday too. I e-mailed the council tax bill over and called to give them the number and to double check they’d received it.
Re: Proof of address for child
Thanks all. I’ve already emailed the council tax bill to admissions-I’m thinking more of a document with his name on for when this is requested by end Dec. He doesn’t have any medical appointments and, although he has a bank account and an ISA, I seem to get one statement for all if my children which comes in my name so I may need to contact the bank and see if I can change this for him.
Re: Proof of address for child
May I ask if the proof of address has to be under the child's name or parents'?

It is the parentlistophe wrote:May I ask if the proof of address has to be under the child's name or parents'?
if the parents are separated then it is the address where the child is registered with the GPYou must attach a copy of your 2018/19 Council Tax bill to the ‘child details’ section of your application. c
