Congratulations Chilly123. Wonderful news.

We were in the same situation last year with DD1. With a sudden dash to Coes for uniform but I can report that she has loved every minute of it, is doing really well.

DD2 has just started Y7 too. I think they are looking forward to the Y7 disco at the end of the month.

Wishing your dd all the best on her exciting journey.

Hi, has anybody know anything about CCHS? My daughter is first on the w/l, but we haven't heard anything yet.

Hi,

are the figures for post 2014 are absolute numbers out of 60?
Some number do not seem to be correct. e.g. 67 out of 60 for 2018 for English
and 59.9 in maths as a mean also does not seem to be correct.

If you can please check and confirm, it would help parents like us who are in the journey for 2019.

I know I've posted an answer to the self same query somewhere, possibly not actually on this thread, though

If you read what Blitz has written, you will see that she has converted scores to percentages, because for 2014 and previously, the English was out of 50 and the maths was out of 40 (actually it was out of 38 for 2008 entry, for some reason) vs each being out of 60 from 2015 entry onwards.

Thank you to all those who have posted scores. Do post waiting list positions etc. when they are released. It really does help everyone to see where the cut-offs are (and also identify any admission mistakes).

Do keep posting scores, especially borderline ones (pm me if you would rather do this anonymously). I will try to update regularly.

Thanks Blitz

Oh the relief x
Hi Sonz75, Congratulations! :D
When exactly did you received the offer and how were you contacted? I guess 4th on i/c wl means that she was 4th when the list was first published?
My DD was 7th i/c wl and now moved to 4th (106.96), but it should be 3rd if the 4th was offered

Not necessarily - someone with a higher score may have joined the waiting list, which has to be maintained in oversubscription criteria order.
Toadmum,

Can you please explain how this is possible? Is it due to someone moving into the area late? But it will be late application? So late applications can still get into the wait list if they move in late and come up the wait list after the offer list is out?

All waiting lists are ranked in order of the over-subscription criteria. When late applications join the list they will be slotted into their rank order place and some people will then slip down the waiting list

Waiting list positions can change, for example, as
a result of an offer of a place being made or as new
applications for the school are received. It is
therefore possible that a child’s position on a
waiting list could move down as well as up as each
added child will require the list to be ranked again
in line with the oversubscription criteria.

Thank you, that helps.
