Slough admission criteria

Post by mutenMax »

What are the chances for getting an admission in one of the Slough schools for a score 129 and living in Hounslow ( Priority 3 area approx 9.5 miles)

I tried looking at the admissions criteria and forums but couldn't find a clear answer.

Will someone with less score and in Priority 2 get preference over the high score in Priority 3 area, ie is it score first and distance 2nd or distance first and score second.

Thanks

all the Slough schools have different admissions rules - clearly stated on their websites and linked from this site.

For Langley, yes Priority area 2 with a lower score would get in before a higher score in Priority area 3. It is score order within each priority area, after PP children in priority area 2

This gives info on what has happened in previous years, but Herschel have changed their admissions this year and it’s likley to have a wider impact.

You're unlikely to get Langley, last year there were no admissions from Priority are 3
You'd stand a good chance for Upton Court with a score of 129 as they take in rank order
Herschel, who know what will happen this year with their new admission criteria?
St Bernards, unlikely due to being a faith school

You won't know for sure until March 1st
