I posted the news on this forum just after 1 pm today.
I have just received the new co-ordinated scheme imposed by the Secretary of State for Admissions Sept. 2009.

The dates of the 11+ exam will be on 18/19th September, 2008.

Yes - on both the "Help 2009/2010 when are the exams???" and "Kent Test 2008"

It's good to know that some of my colleagues have spread the new too. :)

Did you see the co-ordinated scheme's Key Dates?

Admission to Secondary School - Kent County Council Co-ordinated Scheme, Admissions 2009

No. 11 states 20 September for out of county [assuming same day, not over 2, grossly unfair IMO]

 Thanks for that. It is usually 1day all 3 papers plus an essay!!!!!
Not sure how my son will cope but his sister managed it 2 years ago and got into TOGS. What really inspired her was the open evening, she loved it and found it v welcoming unlike Newstead which she hated. I wonder if any of the schools will bring their open evenings forward.

grossly unfair for whom? There is no doubt in my my mind that it is grossly unfair that children have to take these tests over two days. I would much prefer one day and done. Hate the difference that gives such great advantage to OOA and independent school candidates! I know, everyone disagrees but you try calming your child for two consecutive nights, try building the adrenalin twice - impossible. Give us one Saturday and equality.
