CSSE allocation policy

Post by altfhn »

Hello

I am a novice in this forum.

I am requesting following information from any veteran memeber or moderator please.

I have plan that my son will sit for the CSSE test next year.

I am living in centreal London. Just wondering how do the CSSE allocate places!

Do the CSSE have top 180 places regardless of catchment like Kent and Bexley?

Do they all school have their own catchment area?

Is there any opportunity to change the address after 31 october eg. Bexley is by 8 December?

Thank you very much in anticipation

Each of the schools has its own admissions policy - the CSSE, as an entity, plays no part in the allocation of places.

For schools in the Borough of Southend, the relevant date for 2019 entry is 31st October 2018 - no change of address after this date will be considered until after the first round of allocations on March 1st. KEGS and the Colchester grammar schools may have different rules - you need to check the policy for each school. The Southend on Sea Borough Council and Essex County Council composite prospectuses are available online.
