Nobody can really do anything until SW Herts acknowledge the change.
Last time it was me that broke the news on this forum on the 28th April four years ago that SW Herts and DAO had moved from Moray House VR to CEM.
So this is a lot more notice but once again found out by accident.
Surely SW Herts must be aware that parents are currently preparing with CEM and deserve to be told that the VR exam has changed to GL VR DG

Maybe they feel that less notice levels out the playing field?

Feels like this is big news that no one knows about. All the local mock tests advertising to get SWHerts ready are for CEM style. Not a mention of GL VR.
The larger tuition/mock centres usually fix dates and start taking bookings in Jan/Feb. They’ll be on top of things and the change will be reflected by the time they open for bookings.Daogroupie wrote:Nobody can really do anything until SW Herts acknowledge the change.

Some of them start doing mocks before Easter so, having seen the secondary school transfer document (especially as more Schools publish it in the coming weeks), I don’t think they’ll be waiting for familiarisation papers.
I’m sure the smaller centres will catch on eventually!

Re: SW Herts back to GL for verbal reasoning?
This is a SW Herts document so the change is now confirmed by SW Herts.
They have not yet put up the sample papers.
Very very disappointing it is going to take five weeks to release the results.
Now they have just one provider for the first time surely they can get closer to the impressive two week turnaround that QE manage with over three thousand applicants.
It will be interesting to see if the sample papers will be the same as the Latymer ones DG

The same document has been on the Watford Girls admissions page since the start of the Christmas hols.
Looking at the timetable, the delay in getting out the results looks like it’s due to the music and sports assessments.
I assume they want to get all results published at the same time.

So is it just VR for the English that will be tested by GL or is it NVR too? I'm.new to this. My understanding is a GL maths and a GL VR only but am I right? Never looked at GL VR before.

It is one provider GL, providing Maths and VR.
There is no NVR and never has been. DG
