GCSE exam timetable

Post by Surferfish »

We've been given GCSE exam timetable by the school but its grouped/ordered by subject and is not that easy to read.

Is anyone aware of an app or website that gives you a user friendly timetable ordered by calendar date that possibly allows pupils to create their own personal timetable of the subjects they're doing?

Thanks.

DDs school do this for them, I just received DDs AS level timetable (all two exams), but her gcse timetable last year was straightforward, in date order.

What format is it currently in? Is it something that can be imported into a calendar app (like the iPhone calendar) or excel so you can at least sort them

The timetable was just printed on paper and was ordered by exam board and subject.

e.g.
AQA Maths Paper 1 - 21/05/2019
AQA Maths Paper 2 - 06/06/2019
AQA Maths Paper 3 - 11/06/2019

AQA English Paper 1 - 04/06/2019
AQA English Paper 2 - 07/06/2019

etc.

So not really that user friendly.

I could suggest to DS that he creates his own version in excel based on that but am worried he might get the dates wrong!

Ours has this timetable on the website & it is given to the students. Is there anything on your school's website, or just what you have been given?

Make sure your DCs have checked the tiers of entry that they have been put in for as mistakes have been made and you don't want any surprises on the day.

The AQA, OCR and Edexcel (Pearson) websites all list the exams both by subject and in calendar view.

School generally provide you with a calendar one. It’s worth having one up somewhere so you can keep an eye (there’s always someone who doesn’t turn up at the right time)! Also very satisfying for DC to cross them off on returning home. DS has a clash between RS and computer science, perhaps more understandable than the stats one mentioned above!
