Anybody here giving up a place at HBS?

Dear All,

I am sure you might be aware of the mess up at HBS on allocation day. My daughter was one of the few in tears on the 1st of March and now has her hopes revived due to finding out she should have been invited on Monday to the tour due to being at the higher end of the waiting list (top 5).

Is there any kind soul who would share that they are giving up their HBS seat for an independent one? I just don’t want to build her hopes up and second allocation day is so far. Her best friend is going there and it seems hard for her to put her mind to anything else. She continuously asks if I have received an email and checks the letter box every time she hears it.

It would give me so comfort at a time which has been made even more stressful .

Wow! Great to know, when I called HBS they said no one has declined yet but I don’t know if they were trying to get rid of me lol!

DG I know you tend to deal with a lot of girls who have multiple offers in independent and selective. Any news on them lucky few?

Thank you so much for letting me know. I appreciate this forum so much it has been a place of refuge and stopped me from constantly hitting redail on the LEA and HBS number lol

I was just coming to answer this.

I know four Band A students giving it up, one for City, one for St Pauls and two for NLCS.

I am glad to hear that at least one of these places could well go to a family who are super keen to become a HBS family.
