Bluecoat appeal
Hi we got a decent school but our daughter still wants Bluecoat (easier to get to, friends going). If we appeal, is our place at the other school still safe? She got 347 group B so not far off. Do we include extra curricular activities eg competitive sports, piano grades etc?

Thanks very much, yes I read the questions but still have these, would like to know the above if anyone can help? Some say to include extracurriculars and some don't. And is our offered school place safe if we appeal? Many thanks.
Re: Bluecoat appeal
Yes, your (accepted, I hope) offered place is only taken away if you are offered and accept a place elsewhere. Or if the LEA made a mistake in offering it, or if it is found that your application was fraudulent. One hopes neither of those two apply here .grm wrote:Thanks very much, yes I read the questions but still have these, would like to know the above if anyone can help? Re extracurricular activities, possibly something like 'performs at high level in activity X and the squad is based at the school we want' kind of thing, but not, 'look what an asset she would be to your school'. Because she would be an asset to any school in that case. And totally irrelevant where the main issue is academic suitability.

Thanks ToadMum, we're going to go for it now. And we like the offered school too so not the end of the world if it doesn't work.
