I have just registered my son for the exams. I was surprised that I was not asked for any exam fee. I had my credit card ready! Is the 11+ exam free? (As you can tell I'm really new to all this!)

Yes, they aren't allowed to charge for it. Apart from anything, it would further discriminate against those who couldn't afford it.
