Verbal Reasoning - Tiffin/Sutton
Hello,
Just want to check if there are any VR (Susan Daughtrey) type questions in the Tiffin or Sutton (SET) exams? Daughter sat the test in 2017 but she can't remember if there were. We did do lots of Bond VR and GL VR tests etc. I found them useful as word work for Vocab and spelling. Moving forward wanted to know if any specific VR questions appear in the exams.
Thanks

Re: Verbal Reasoning - Tiffin/Sutton
In stage 1 verbal reasoning would help with the multiple choice English questions. Stage 2 is creative writing so VR would not really help. Good luck.
Re: Verbal Reasoning - Tiffin/Sutton
I agree. There could be 5-6 questions in the Stage 1 test of Verbal Reasoning type. Tiffin Boys definitely included such questions in the past.rocky wrote:In stage 1 verbal reasoning would help with the multiple choice English questions. Thanks for the replies.
Does anyone, whose child sat the exam (Tiffin & SET) last year remember if there were any VR style questions? Having gone back over my daughters English notes, from her old tutor, I notice there was no VR done at all.

I think we have already answered this one - My daughter sat SET last year and stage 1 English multiple choice has some VR type questions. Hope that helps. Good luck!Irisa wrote:I agree.
