I wouldn't let either of my son's cycle there, the roads are way too busy. This might be an option for some if there is a route via quiet streets without the bus traffic.

With regards to the new starters, once the various forms from the initial pack have been signed and sent back to the school, when to expect further information, with the details of uniform to be purchased, etc.?

Would like to know if there are any appropriate bus routes from Cheam station to Wilson’s?
Do they have private coach/ car share permanent service from Cheam station?
Would be helpful if someone can share the details of *** group for new starters.

From Cheam station the best route is train to Sutton,change there for Waddon and then hop in 154 or walk.
Sounds complicated but it’s not.
Loads do it.
No bus all the way.
There are no school buses to state schools in London.
I’d avoid car share etc at all costs.
It’s rarely works well and it’s an easy journey on public transport.
Take into account Wilson’s is very strict on punctuality.

It might not be complicated but for an year 7 child who is new in neighbourhood it might be, unless I opt for picks and drops daily... Which areas are considered ‘nice’ to live in locally within 154 and 157 routes?
QE has a very large network of coach service, it’s a state secondary. With kids getting admission from all areas I think it’s worth considering arranging a transport, maybe privately managed by group of parents?

If you are moving to the area have a look at Carshalton/ Carshalton Beeches.
On the 154 route so a doodle.
154 every 9 mins ( reliably).
It’s known locally as the Wilson’s bus. Stops at the door.
Teachers at the bus stops after school see the boys on to the bus and year seven finish a few mins earlier so they have more space on the bus.
Cheam although not far is a less straightforward commute and can be almost grid locked in the mornings.
I’d forget about shared transport as it ties you down time wise for after school stuff.
There would be other Wilson’s boys doing the Cheam route.
No school coaches to any Sutton grammars.
I think most year seven parents worry about the commute but they do get used to it very quickly and usually have fun on the journey.
Most enjoy the freedom I think.
