Dynamite Verbal Reasoning Paper Two (multiple choice)
Questions 47,48 & 49 - Can anyone help? I've had a 10 year old in tears tonight telling me the anwers are wrong and I have to agree, I just can see how these have been worked out, is it possible this is a mistake on the answer sheets or do we really need to go back to the drawing board and start our revising from the beginning!!

I think you will find that the paper is in fact correct.
47. If N = 4, P = 2, Q = 8 work out the following, giving your
answer as a letter:
QN ÷ 4 = (______)
QN = 8 x 4 = 32
so QN ÷ 4 = 8 = Q. Answer given is also Q
48. If R = 4, S = 6, T = 39 work out the following, giving your
answer as a number:
TR + 25 = (______)
TR = 39 x 4 = 156
TR + 25 = 181. Answer given is also 181
49. If S = 5, V = 4, W = 7 work out the following, giving your
answer as a number:
S( W + V) = (______)
W+V = 11
S (W + V) = 5 x 11 = 55. Answer given is also 55
What you need to understand is that AB is A x B then all the answers are clear.
