What do you look for in a school?

I'm genuinely curious after some recent threads what people's priorities are when looking at schools.

After seeing some threads here, the ability of your child to get to school without a horrendous journey.

I’d be lying if academic achievement wasn’t up in the top three things but balanced with good pastoral care and extra-curriculur activities. I expect school life to be where she makes lifelong friendships as well as building a pathway to her degree.

Most important is that the school has the right feel for my DC- if she’s happy she’s more likely to learn.
