Comprehension in the CEM
I've had conflicting answers from people I have asked so just trying to get a clear answer! Is Comprehension a stand-alone section in the exam or is it included with other VR questions? I know for Pates, children have to pass a certain mark on each section to be offered a place and my daughter is struggling with Comprehension so I'm just hoping she might be able to make up the marks elsewhere in that section. Thanks

Re: Comprehension in the CEM
CEM is traditionally NVR, VR and Maths so comprehension falls into VR (although there are obviously some wordier maths questions that need comprehending too! )
With the CEM tests my boys did, the comprehension was not like traditional comprehension (a passage and then questions) but things like missing words, Cloze passages, synonyms. antonyms etc
