Transport from Sutton to Hamdsworth school for boys

Post by Momcare »

Hi,

Anyone travelling to Handsworth from Sutton, please let me know, I am looking for a car share or bus travel buddy. My son is in year 7 at the moment.

Thank you very much.

I’m assuming that you decided against the Green Bus option. Your son may find it easier to get a travel buddy from the route home. There are many boys who get the 74 down the Soho Road into B’ham and then go their separate ways to whichever bus they get next. He will probably find that he has classmates making the same first part of that journey. Once he knows who they are they can arrange to meet at the 74 bus stop in the mornings, so it would just be the Sutton - B’ham part that he would be on his own.

I know it seems scary having your 11 year old doing this journey on their own, but they soon get used to it. Having 1 bus on their own can be quite handy for them to do some quiet reading, although mine never seem to do this
