Newstead Wood test - additional test date

I am sure those who are sitting the test already know this but as a parent I had only just been alerted to the fact that due to large numbers of applicants they are having tests on both Friday 27th and Saturday 28th September. I haven't heard of the school running tests over two days before so it is unprecedented as far as I know. Wishing all those taking the test the best.

If they haven't already told you the road usually has parking restrictions on it so taking public transport is advisable.

The tests are usually taken in small groups in regular classrooms so it is not too intimidating.

It stated the two dates on the acknowledgement letter. It was a massive birth rate year in Bromley. I guess that might be why.

Hello! Everyone i spoke to or know had their NW test on Friday. Do you know anyone who was scheduled for Saturday? is it pure oversubscription or was Friday or Saturday allocated on some other principle?
Interesting to know.

The letter to parents said ‘Please be aware that due to the high volume of applicants, there is also an additional selection test day taking place on Saturday 28 September’

I thought it was a bit weird that the school only asked for parent helpers for the test on the Friday though, and not on the Saturday. All the kids I know from my primary school in Orpington did the test on Friday.
