DCHS from Wycombe?

Post by mm23292 »

Would DCHS be doable from the High Wycombe area, or would WH be a better choice? DCHS is our closest catchment choice, but a potential move would make it a less accessible option next year. Presumably there are few Wycombe girls attending DCHS, so there would be no established bus routes. How does WH compare with DCHS, in terms of overall ethos? Results and destinations look fairly similar, and DCHS was our daughter's favorite when visiting on open days. Any thoughts would be most welcome. Thank you.

Yes its doable.

My hubby drops our DD to DCHS. He leaves around 07:15 and drops DD at school approx at 07:45~07:55 depending on the traffic . He return back to his office in High Wycombe at around 08:20

In case he is out of town DD uses Carrousel bus 103 (shes picks the one at around 07:10 close to Sytner and reaches school at around 08:00)

DD studied Yr7-Yr11 from WHS , joined DCHS for her Sixth Form and now she love the teachers / fellow students and the friendly atmosphere of DCHS.

Hope this helps.

Thank you EnTry. How does your daughter find the two schools compare? Was there a particular reason why she decided to switch for 6th form? From what we've seen, DCHS seemed more 'traditional', and WH seemed more like Becky High. I just can't decide if choosing DCHS over WH would be worth the added journey. :?
