Congratulations to your DD.

Congratulations.

A very exciting moment to be treasured.

This means that on paper she has what it takes to succeed on the course.

Now she has to compete against the other candidates at interview for the places, as there are not enough places for everyone who applies who is academically suited for the course. DG

Thanks DG!

Trinity is the most competitive college at Cambridge to apply to read Mathematics because of its history. But DD insists that's the college she wants to study in. She did very well in the recent Mathematical Olympiad for Girls and got distinction and book prize for being in the top 36 girls out of 1822 participants, so hopefully she will have a chance of getting an offer.

She has an excellent chance with such great credentials.

How much experience has she had with interviews?

Her maths teacher has arranged for her to have a mock interview with another maths teacher who has experience in preparing candidates for Oxbridge application. So hope that will be helpful for her.

Good luck to your DD.
The college may give a hint as to what to expect in the interviews, although at least in my DDs case reality didn't match what they said, however as long as your DD knows her subject and can think out of the box if necessary she should be ok.
Even if she thinks the interview went terribly it may have not,
and even if it did there is clearing.

My DD failed her interview, but got a phone call in the middle of clearing offering her a place without another interview.
