I haven't asked about it and it's not something the school appears to focus on (although they may have stats they follow for themselves). I know all the academic entry pupils are all split among the 8 intake classes. The kids sometimes ask each other if they got in via the academic route, and so the only information I have is when the kids talk about it amongst themselves and my daughter tells me in conversation. Many of the kids who got in on distance or sibling also studied for the 11 plus test and so the ones who got in via the academic route may not necessarily be doing better than others. From what my daughter says there is a mix the top set for maths. It would be interesting to know the statistics of how they fair over the years. I would be curious to know but what's important to me is my daughter is doing really well and loving the school.
