My DS sat the test on Tuesday. The most difficult thing was - temperature and painful sore throat. DS could not speak till Thursday. Today he feels much better and every five minutes checks email.

I'm on tenterhooks!
Does anyone know the format of the interview?
If called up, what are the chances of an offer?
Good luck everyone

@Lenazayka75, so sorry for your DS.
Fingers crossed for all the kids who worked so hard.

Your son has already had the interview.
A handful of boys who are right on the edge of a good result in English or Maths will be invited in for an academic interview in that subject to give them another chance to prove themselves,
Otherwise they will be attending some Y7 lessons and enjoying meeting each other and seeing more of the school. DG

DG does that mean that only the boys who were on edge of receiving a good result will be invited for call back session?
Would they say in the email today if there is a firm offer?

Read what I said in the email.
The main theme of the call back session is attending the Y7 classes. That will be offered to the strongest candidates in the academic tests and the interview.
A handful of borderline candidates will be invited in for extra tests in Maths and English.
Nobody will be getting a firm offer at this stage as there is another round to come. DG
