Cat 7, non catholic

Post by Rainbowpurple »

Hi,
My daughter passed the Loreto exam with a score of 357. We live 0.6 miles away from the school. Is there any chance of getting this school at all?
Are there any non- Catholics who have been successful in the past?

Pls advise
Thanks

Hi RainbowPurple,

Hoping someone with more in-depth knowledge of Loreto admissions will be able to advise. You've already worked out you're category 7 as stated on their website; freedom of information doesn't tell us much either https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/body/lor ... mar_school" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

If you wanted to know before 31 October your best bet may be to phone the school. Your DD's score looks healthy and you live nearby, so fingers crossed for her!

Have a look at the top left of the screen - it should say "new messages"

Last year there were girls in category 4 who had passed the exam & didn’t get a place. I believe cat 4 is usually the sticking point, so cat 7 v unlikely I’d think, although you just never know!
