Habs practice papers vis a vis KEFGS exam

Post by clarendon »

Perhaps fm or KenR will be able to tell me if the above practice papers, which are discussed elsewhere on the forum, are set at a similar level to the KE test papers. I'm thinking of both the maths and English.

Thanks

I did use them last year with pupils sitting the KES and KEHS exams.

And I would probably use them for KEGS if I ran out of other material. It is a good idea to challenge the children as much as possible and some of the questions in this paper pushed me to think.

I wouldn't use the English papers for KEGS, however, in that they are in the form of a conventional comprehension whereas the KEGS comprehension was multiple choice. I would suggest Secondary Selectionr Profile or Bond Papers for this.

Hope this helps.
