Waiting lists

Post by cookie1 »

Hi

From previous experience, does anyone know when the waiting lists start moving. I have called the LEA and my DD's position is the same.

Which LEA is yours? Birmingham won’t be releasing the waiting list positions until 23rd March, so I guess things will get moving after that

Hi All,

Not sure if anyone can make things slightly clearer for me.

My DD was 15th on the waiting list, then 13th, but today shes 20th on the waiting list. How does this happen?

you can go down in the lists as maybe people have done late exam. Other possibility is they have made a late application - some may have felt that their score was not good enough to get a place but then when the allocations came out they realised that they could have and hence applied then

Cookie. Please don't worry, the waiting lists this year are incredibly slow. I am 3rd on the list and am still waiting for an offer of a place yet the letter has been 'in the post' for the last week. Staff are working remotely and you may find that people are less willing to give up their state school place than previously due to their own financial situation. Things will take there time this year but it will happen.

I think that is right thirdtimemum - this year is like none other and certainly the process will be a lot slower and people will take longer to make up their minds

Can we all share reg. waiting list movement please?
Has anyone heard anything? Heard CHB, CHG , FW, BV, Sutton Girls, HWB, HWG, Aston all had few movements last week.

Is your DC on several lists currently? What position(s) are is s/he at?
