Jim asks his family if he can do any jobs for them to earn money.His father agrees to a pay £5 week for Jim to washi his car.
His mother agrees to pay £2 once every 2 days for Jim to do the bins.His grandmother says she will pay £1 for him to do shopping every 4 days.his grandfatherask jim to fetch his newspaper daily for50p per day.
what is maximum amount for Jim can earn in one day?
Answetr = £18.50

The answer is wrong - its £8.50

Perhaps they missed out the £10 Jim can earn by doing his younger brother's maths homework!

I would have said the answer was £2.46.
(5/7 + 2/2 +1/4 + 0.5)

I suppose he could RECEIVE £8.50 in one day if they all paid him on the same day, but I wouldn't say that he EARNED that amount in one day.
