Sutton Grammar School Uniform

Hi. As a newbie SG YR7 mum I’m looking for advice on uniform just to get things right. Rather than emailing the school I know everyone on here is so amazingly helpful.

Uniform says charcoal or black trousers - which is the norm for lower years?
White trainers - are they allowed a small amount of colour/logo?
Backpack - any colour or if black does it have to be plain?
Waterproof 3 in 1 coat - any colour/ type? (I know it shouldn’t have logos)
Waterproof Mac - should this be plain black or any type/colour/logo?

Sorry if these are silly questions but my DS will freak if I get the wrong things!

My DS is at SGS and will be going into Y10 in September - his comments to me are in bold below.

White trainers - are they allowed a small amount of colour/logo? Not massively enforced so small logo probably OK
Backpack - any colour or if black does it have to be plain? Not all the backpacks are black but they are mostly plain

My son (Y9) says:
Most wear black trousers.
Trainers can have logos but nothing too flashy.
Most have black backpacks, not sure if that is the rule, lots have logos. My son has a Nike one.
Most have black or grey coat. Small logos are ok.
My son has 1 warm waterproof coat and no mac. His coat is grey with orange logos and it has never been questioned.

Thanks CSB. Great help.

My DS will be pleased he can wear his favourite brands, not to mention the fact it's near impossible to get plain unbranded stuff that he'd deem acceptable!
