Independent School Suggestions
Hello,
I would appreciate some advice re which high schools to look at for my DS. He plays cricket at county level and has a passion for athletics. I would like a place which focuses on pastoral care and can boost self esteem and confidence and pushes children academically whilst not being too pressured. Does such a place exist?!
I'm based in the Dunstable area and would prefer a commute of 45 minutes max.
Any advice or suggestion would be most appreciated

It might be a bit far anyway, but Bedford School gave us the lovely (Sir) Alastair Cook, so must have something going for it? .

Lots of great places.
St Albans would be my top pick.
All the students I know there love it and the parents are really happy with it too. DG

Re: Independent School Suggestions
Like most schools they operate a first past the post system so the standard required varies according to the standard of the cohort.
3 years ago their rejection letter stated the following: "Your score would have secured you a place last year but we had more applicants this year so we are unable to offer you a place." DG
