Habs girls - anybody heard?

Post by Justanothergirl »

Just that really. We have now heard from 5 out of the 6 schools we applied to, would love to call it a day now!

Also heard from Habs Gilrs - no offer

Anyway it is not DD's target school and she has 3 offers out of 4 that she applied so we are all very happy.

So you received NLCS, SHHS and another? What do you think you will go for?

Yes SHHS, NLCS and NHEHS. It's going to be between SHHS and NLCS, my DD is leaning towards SHHS as she was offered academic scholarship there (a great recognition of her hard work over the last 2 years I guess). Both are top schools that are easy to get to from where we live, will make a final decision after their offer-holders events.

That’s quite the acronym for a school name :D
Really well done to your daughter, she did great.
We will probably go for NLCS.

Definitely NLCS is probably the top choice for most parents I'd say. It probably has slightly higher ranking on the school league table and boasts a much bigger ground and an international brand. Top school if your DD wants to study in the US for uni as its IB ranking is no.1 in the country I heard.

And NLCS is actually closer to my house but commuting to SHHS involves taking the tube to Finchley Road and DD likes it as it makes her feel more independent and she feels like a grown-up going to central London for work :D She also disliked NLCS uniform (Blue with Brown cardigan/sweater is just not her taste)
