Question Help - GL pk 3 paper 8 q18
Hi
I would really appreciate some help on this question. After working through it my son went for B (no straight sides on the main shape - he thought the small lines at the bottom must be a red herring as he couldn't see a pattern). The answer given is A. Any thoughts - is it the number of lines a the bottom match the number of curved sides that look like the one at the top of A? A bit odd if so as the 2nd shape in the question has 2 curved sides.
Thanks!

I think A is correct. From the pictures no.of curves are matching the bottom no. of lines so ans A has one curve and one line.

I have A also, only A and D have one line at the bottom. The original shapes have 2 or 4 lines to them, of A and D only A has 2 or 4 lines (4).
mad?

Thanks - yes I was thinking it was number of curves matching number of lines but doesn't the 2 figure in the question have 2 curves (if you count the top side) but only has one line?
Re: Question Help - GL pk 3 paper 8 q18
I was counting curves and lines as the same - I ignored their shape
mad?

Concave and convex?
Re: Question Help - GL pk 3 paper 8 q18
Thanks yes I think that must be it! Same number of small lines at the bottom as concave sides.
Thanks everyone!
