Help:
In this question three of the five words are connected in some way. Find the two words that do not go with these three and select them both from the options provided:
a- Spain
b- Brazil
c- hazel
d- London
e- cashew

Answer is London and Spain.

I've tried to figure why...is because hazel and cashew grow mainly in Brazil???How on Earth an 11 yrs old knows this?
Can someone pls find another explanation?

I know this one...

Brazil, Hazel and Cashew are types of nuts.

London is a capital city and Spain is a country.

I might not know any other verbal reasoning questions and wi11 have to leave those to the 11+ experts on site.

I just got my dd to look at this and she went for the three countries - looked at it a bit more then realised they were three nuts and got the correct answer.

Whether she would have amended this in a real test is questionable, but I don't think it's an unreasonable question if she knew it.

That's why it;s so sneaky because there aren't 3 countries, but on a superficial glance you could plump for that one

(LBSWM I am not suggesting you are spurious OR plump!!)

Just out of interest - did they put a capital B for Brazil or a lower case b as that would have been a clue ie capital letter for country, small letter for nut.
