HI all

Please could someone advise about the creative writing task which is used for appeal purposes?

What are the choices normally? Do they need to display any particular skills apart from the obvious ; writing in good English in a structured way... do they need to use any technical terms eg similes?

Im completely in the dark over this so advice would be much appreciated.

I really wouldn’t worry about it, put energies elsewhere as it is only likely to be used in case of appeal. DD did this 6 years ago now so memory of what it was isn’t there but she says it wasn’t complicated and was typical for type of work doing at school.

As long as your child is good at reading the question then they should be fine, it also helps not to be too prescriptive about what to expect as if there is a difference that could throw them.

Thanks - I would tend to agree!
