QE result day

Post by twick »

Hello All,
Few questions:
1. When does QE historically email the results?

2. Will they tell the standardized score total in October? So that
Parents know if their boys have a chance or not.

Thanks

Hi twick,

In 2019, results were emailed 2 weeks +1 day after the exam. My DS’s exam was on Thursday 19th September and results were emailed on Friday 4th October.

Separate standardised scores are given for Maths & English, and also a Total standardised score. A rank is not given. The Total score may be used by parents to ‘assess’ their DS’s chances of being offered a place on National Allocation Day.

A tour of the school, over the next few weeks, was offered to some of the candidates who achieved a certain score and above.

I hope that helps.

Best of luck to you and your DS. ***

Tours were cancelled last year but the year before it was only for achieving a total score of 220 and above.

The last score to get in on allocation day last year was a handful very close to the school on 234, 234 in Potters Bar didnt make allocation day but was in the top five and got a place a few weeks later.

Waiting list is on 29 so I would imagine that the score to get a place has reached 232 by now. The lowest score to be offered a place by September this year will be confirmed in the tours this year. DG

Waiting list isn't updated on the website after the last day of the summer term, but does keep on moving through the summer holidays.

At the end of August, it had reached a WL position in the high 30s, on a score of 232.

Are the late sitters done for QE ?

Also, usually what time does QE send result by email ?

No, there are still more to do including those who have been in isolation and only just come out.

There is no set time for the emails to arrive, it takes a while for the thousands of emails to be sent out. DG
