Thanks, SVK. Our other two grammar options (SCGSG and QMHS) would be reached by excellent public bus services (X51/51 and 5) so no concerns for those.

The journey to SCGSG (DD's preferred choice) would require two buses, so I was tempted by the ease of the journey to Handsworth Girls on the Green Bus. However, if the Green Bus service ceased operating, DD's alternative commute to Handsworth would require either a change of bus at Perry Barr or a 20-minute walk through Lozells, neither of which appeal at all!

Does anyone know the number of candidates that sat for this years Birmingham Grammar test?

Previous years were around 6-7 thousand but I've heard it could be over 10 thousand this year because of the high birth rate.

I believe it was about 5700 last year & just under 6000 the year before. It's unlikely to jump by 4000, I wouldn't have thought.

Hi - the results were released slightly earlier than communicated last year on Monday 12th October as opposed to Friday 16th October. Any idea if the same is likely this year?

The results were released on 4th October 2 years ago, so any time now, I’m thinking!

Mine were by email 2 years ago. I’m thinking it will be Friday or Monday as Friday will be 27 days after the test (same as 2 years ago) and Monday will be 30 days after (same as last year)
