Single sex or Mixed Comprehensive??
Hi All,
I would welcome any views or experiences with regard to Single sex (boys) or mixed Comprehensive schools.
I have two boys, who would be eligible to go to either, and both schools are academically equal. If the oldest doesn't pass the 11+, which choice should I place next on the CAF form? My own experience is from a mixed whilst the other half went to a boys grammar. So our views are currently clashing. Also we've been to view both schools, and are equally impressed.
I've only read a couple of reports, but the debate seems pretty even on, for's and against, for each type.
My own thoughts are, that a boys grammar would be a different kettle of fish to an all boys comprehensive, and as neither of my two are particularly sporty, would perhaps find it difficult to fit in.??
Any thoughts appreciated,
RR
