Hello mike if your there, please could you explaine this one for me so that I can show to my dd.

dd insists that she keeps ending up on ys which isnt even on the answer sheet, and i'm no help to her what so ever!

In such cases where the common logic fails to find the answer and the above logic makes sense, the way I instruct my DS is to look at the given possible answers and pick the one that matches the logic of JL.
Children should not get disappointment if one logic fails. They should be able to immediately switch to a different possible logic and apply that as well.

This is a reverse mirror image question
Write the alphabet out like this (spacing in the text does not align correctly)
ABCDEFGHIJKLM
ZYWVUTSRQPON
In a standard mirror image question we would write DH is to WS, we then reverse the second pair of letters to give
DH is to SW
Therefore in a standard mirror image
JL is to QO
When reversed the answer becomes OQ
This type of question appears once in the NFER preparation papers.
