3km from camphill
Hello. I'm new here. I have been reading the forum and have learned a lot from here. Very informative.
I just need your opinions as we are getting quite anxious.
Our son scored 262 but we are out of catchment from camphill although this is the nearest grammar to us.
What is likelihood he would get a place.
Other grammars are far although we would have to work out a solution if he got a place there.
Son has high score but nearest school out of catchment. What are your opinions?

The key to getting a place from out of catchment ie Category 5, is not distance but score - all Category 5 are ranked on score and places allocated that way, makes no difference if you are 3km or 300 kmwaitingforsummer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 11:57 pm Hello. 262 is a very good score - however you can see from the info below (allocations on March 1st ) that they don't always offer to all of catchment straight away - however I think they offer more off the waiting list and they usually offer some OOC Cat 5 places - I seem to remember there was a thread saying that some people were offered in the high 250s.
It is a case of wait and see what happens on March 1st and the WL
King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys
2021 Cat 4, 4353m (all Cat 2 PP offered, no offers from Cat 3)
2022 Cat 5, 256, 8923m (Cat 3, 217, 5429m)
2023 Cat 4, 5865m (Cat 3, 228, 7526m)

PS another post re OOC scores for CHG https://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum ... 95#p789595 - looks like last one offered was 254 last year though probably later on in the summer
