Hello Parents,
My son scored 236 but he didn't get offer today (01st March). Does anyone know what is the last merit, and when QE publish waiting list...

It seems that the score that is safe is 239 as so far we have not heard of a 239 that has not been offered a place. A 238 appears to have been offered in Reading but another 238 in Birmingham reported as not. So if some 238s are receiving offers then all of 239 and above will receive their offers. The rise and rise of QE continues.
3295 boys sat the test and it seems that there has been an increase in those accepting the place which has driven the last score to secure a place up from 232 to some of 238 who are closest to the school.

Does anyone know how many number of boys on waiting list go to QE?

Is it less than 30 or 40?

From historic data, the last score to enter QE is normally 2 below the 1st March score. Assuming 238 is the 1st March score, history says that it should come down to 236. QE will let you know the wait list position shortly. Keep an eye on the first wait list movement. From historical data, the over all wait list movement is around double the first movement. So if the first wait list movement is 18, the last wait list number at the end of year will be around 36. Do you live close to the school? Wish you all the best

We received an email from QE few mins ago that our son is 20th on the waiting list. The cut off for this year(2024) seems more like 238. Can any one advise if 20th is a positive number?

I will be hopeful on this wait list number, your DS has a decent chance to get in before the start in September. Keep an eye on the first wait list movement, it will give you a good indication. Good luck

Some 238's further away from the school were not offered a place.

20th on the waiting list has always received an offer by September.

What is your score and how far are you from the school?

Hi My son scored 235 and he is 36 on waiting list. Should we be hopeful? Does the proximity helps in terms of waiting list? Thanks
