Wallington girls

Post by kk dad »

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and am looking to find out some information about
Wallington Girls.

I understand that the entrance test comprises a VR paper and a maths paper.

Can anyone tell me what raw score is needed to get in - I live in the catchment area so getting in the top 50 is not necessarily a priority although it would be nice.

My daughter consistently gets over 90% on NFER VR papers and about 80% on practice maths papers. I know the scores are standardised, but don't know how the above convert and if, indeed, it would be enough given the school is heavily over subscribed.

Any advice would be greatly received and appreciated.

Hi kk

if you look at Sutton Boys mock test results (boys and girls)
90% VR translate in 120
80% Match translate in 109

adding them together makes 229 (out of 280), which corresponds to 84 percentile, pretty good.

assuming that that mock test is representative, and that Wall girls has 1000 applicants, your daughter should get a place

please leave one of the 50 places for mine :D

Hi Giulio,

Thanks for the info.

Reassuring to know that she is there or thereabouts. I guess, though, it will ultimately boil down to how she performs on the day.

I'm sure she'll be ok. Good luck with yours.
