Timing on the day - Pates

Post by Jimi »

Hello,

Does anybody know how the child is able to monitor their time on the day, is there a clock on display in the test room?

If so, would it be a simple analogue clock and they are told what time they will finish, or is it a digital countdown type? Not important, just curious.

Also, do they get any prompts as to time left from staff, e.g. 5 minutes left?

Thanks

These are DS sons recollections from Tommies last year-

He had his own watch.
There was no clock in the room.
They were told when they were half way,10 mins to go,5 mins to go,2 mins to go.
He thinks that the teacher had an earpiece so that all classes could start and finish at the same time(???).

A friend managed a brief chat with a very busy admissions dept at Pates who confirmed that there WILL be a clock in every test room. There are also spoken time prompts e.g. half way and maybe 10 or 5 minutes to go.
